Biography

Claudia Whitney is a Bahamian-born, Toronto-based actress and recent Niagara College Acting for Film and Digital Media program graduate. Most recently, she played a lead role and wrote and directed a Niagara College student film called My New Roommate. Claudia’s specialty is bringing a strong presence, confidence, detailed preparation, and professionalism to each project as she continues to expand her range in television, film, and voiceover.

Claudia’s training includes the Meisner technique and scene study with Neighborhood Playhouse graduate Lori Ravensborg and Stephanie Jones and voiceover with seasoned voice actress, vocalist, and vocal coach Barbara Mantini (Character and video games) and veteran voice actor Graeme Spicer (Commercial). Additionally, she has received hands-on teleprompter, green screen, and ADR training, along with basic stunt training.

Her most notable work includes a lead role in an NC Production, Appearances, a supporting role in Time to Talk (a PSA by Future Black Female), and voiceovers for two video games, Brawlosseum and Guardians of Xenasia.

Outside of acting, Claudia brings many transferable skills from her previous career as a computer programmer and business analyst. She also has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems. Claudia enjoys playing tennis for fun and also weight trains to enhance her physicality for action and stunt roles. Passionate about inspiring and thought-provoking storytelling, she continues to push her artistic boundaries, bringing authenticity and depth to every role.
